~90mm X ~5.5mm; ~353grams. Obverse: Appearance of Crumpled Fabric, with Bat & Rider; also a Frog; (may be other creatures in there) Uniformly Finished in Matte Black. Reverse: Unbroken Black Disc. At the Rim: 1972, Cornucopia, CUIVRE
And, again: French Mint with the year at the rim. Surely those folks have catalogued their production over the years? Ideally, the database would be available to the web...and searchable? Only in my dreams, eh? wlw
I don't know if they have such a catalog for the 20th century. I guess you could always contact the Monnaies de Paris and ask. Chris
I just may do that. I'll assume someone there will respond to a query written in English, though that may be an assumption too far...but the payoff may be good enough to make the attempt worthwhile. Thanks for the suggestion, Chris! wlw
