Excursion Inlet Alaska US WWII POW Script

    I picked this up today. It's 50mm wide. There was a US POW camp in Excursion Inlet Alaska during and just after WWII. This was script issued by the camp for the prisoners to use in the canteen.

    Cannot imagine they held too many POW's there - they would have had to have been Japanese and during the Aleutian campaign very very few were captured - those that were tended to be injured or out of it. A quick search shows that most of the prisoners there were in fact German.

    All Japanese POWs in WWII were held at Fort McCoy Wisconsin.
