(note - posting this because only folks on this site would understand why this is exciting for me! haha) I sent five coins in last week and these two got the sticker. Couldn't be more thrilled. I also sent a New Orleans double eagle that I'd sent before in an older holder - but it's such a lovely coin that I don't care. The New Orleans quarter eagle I wasn't going to send at all because of the bag ding on the reverse and I thought it was too shiny, but of all the coins I've ever sent there is probably more value in the CAC sticker on this on than on any other I own. Everyone dumped on it here and elsewhere because people thought it looked cleaned or they didn't like the reverse ding, but CAC liked it, Yay. It's an esoteric thing with this issue because it has an exceptionally good strike for the issue - something only experts on the issue would know.(Variety 2, which is quite scarce). Both of these issues are tough to get stickers for. A CAC grade population of 3 for the quarter eagle (AU55) and 4 for the 62' quarter (MS62). And not a huge number finer for either one. I expected the quarter to pass but not the $2.50. I'm a happy camper today!
