We have had several discussions regarding coin rolls in the past. And every time an abundance of theories and ideas about rolls are raised. We have discussed bank rolls, Mint rolls and original bank wrapped rolls to name a few. And many have their own ideas about which rolls are the "best". And it seems that almost no one wants to believe that they are all the same. But the facts are rather different - rolls are rolls.

The information contained in the articles found at this link is factual, accurate and correct.

Great resource GD. For all of the readers who won't take the time to read through this, I have pulled one sentence out that confuses most collectors. They assume that mint rolls are somehow special. Well here is the truth.

"Thus, the handling these coins received is essentially the same as those issued through the Federal Reserve for circulation".

still the value of the "mint rolls" will be be decided by what people think they are handled not clouding the issue with real facts!

Gd how do you find all these interesting articles?

Isnt that the truth. BTW, I am always amazed with GDJMSP and Jody's way of finding these links. I still have to dig through this mountain of reference material piled up on the book shelves.

Great article, but how do you find it from the main page? I crawled all over that site, and could not find a link to that article anywhere. Talk about information that is buried deep.

Now if I gave away all my secrets - you guys wouldn't need me anymore :( :D :D

Actually - I have explained it several times here on this Forum. It's not hard to find information on the internet. The keys to success are the search terms you use - or key words. I start every search for information regarding coins with the same single word - coin. Then I Search Results using another word or phrase that is pertinent to the item I am looking for. Then perhaps do it again. It's very simple and takes less than 5 minutes usually to find anything you want.

Of course I also have a Bookmark file the size of a Krause catalog ;)
