It's sunday, my only day off, and terrible weather. So decided to take some photos (and I'm still trying to learn to take decent ones). These are all NGC graded and all graded good. First 1916 S dime 1885 O dollar 1853 3 cent silver 1901 S $5.00 1885 dollar
I'm still curious to how it didnt get a details grade with what I am fairly certain is a staple scratch across the entire reverse
Pictures are probably hard to answer that from, but I see two possibilities. It may be too small and not shiny. Otherwise, they are humans doing the grading.
16 - s au-50 85 o Morgan au-58 crappy strike too 1853 3 cent au -50 01 - s $5 au - 58 1885 Morgan ms 65
I had three barber dimes hanging around I basically had no money into so decided to send all three in thinking they would all get low or mid AU and I would still be in them alright. One came back AU58 and the other two came back MS62. The 1885 O was one of the dollars I've had for a while so decided to piggy back onto my fathers submission along with the 3 cent. The half eagle was another friend of my fathers who after it got graded he didn't want it anymore so I picked it up a hair over spot. The 1885 was actually the first coin I ever sent in to get graded.
I just got an 1882 O graded that looks far nicer then this one and received a 63. Like you said before, it is humans grading them.
