I just won this coin, bid on at the last minute. All the listing said was: Ethiopia silver coin. Is this the Ghersh, 1/8 Birr, or 1/4 Birr? Where is the denomination located on these?

What is the diameter? The Birr is 40mm, 1/4 is 25mm, and the Gersh (1/20) is 16.5mm. No info on a 1/8.

    From Numista:
    1 Ghersh - Menelik II EE 1889-1895 (AD 1897-1903)
    Silver (.835) – 1.4 gm – 16.5 mm
    Krause World Coins KM# 12
The date is hard to read but looks like EE 1895.

    :)
