Errors - What kind ?

I copied these for examples but forgot to properly label them . Can I get a little help with the ID ? No Joke. Thanks in advance.

Feeder finger scratch? Scratches the die then leaves the impression on the planchet.

 

This. Feeder finger scrapes.

 

Which surely would make them a variety with many coins struck until the die is polished or retired. Or is damage to the die surface an error that is repeating?

Like Ed said scratches on the die caused by the feeder fingers.

Not real tough. Every time you learn something I do too.

 

I don't consider them an "error" they are die stage. They weren't there when the die was new and don't show on all coins from that die so they aren't a variety, once the die is damaged they then appear on every coin u tilthe die is repaired so they aren't an error. They are a die stage, new die is one stage, damaged die is another later stage, and if the scrapes wear away or are polished out then you have an even later stage.

 

I'm starting to understand that definition.
Not totally grasping it but maybe soon I will
