Hey everybody, I'm new to coin talk and coin collecting and was wondering if anyone would know if these two coins were errors?
Nope its from the roll crimper scrapping the coin. Mostly seend on the end rolls of modern coins. Adds no value and makes it worth much less if there was even value to start with.
Hello NickGarza, Welcome to CT. If you have any other questions please post them here. VDBPenny is correct that the coins depicted are scraped. This was most probably done to the coin in a coin counting or rolling machine. The mint simply bags the coins & sends them out to the banks with counting rooms. Therefore, the counting machine marks are made outside of the mint. This is called Post Mint Damage or PMD. It is not considered a mint error and has no collector value.
