At the coins department they were amazed, refused to accept the delivery and returned it to Holland where faulty and fine coins were separated. The fine coins were recently sent back to Israel. Israel’s leading newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, has learnt that the Dutch mint agreed to replace the faulty coins at no additional cost. Bank of Israel's Spokeswoman Sarit Giladi-Dor said: “From the clarification with the Dutch mint we learnt that its supplier delivered faulty tokens. Different Error Coin...This one is new. Different Error. I believe the Jacob and Rachel error was only 20k or 30k coins minted with only 650 released while this shekel was a run of 9.5 million. I have the Jacob and Rachel one Shekel coin as highlighted in the article. Hopefully other error collectors were able to add one of the very limited amount to their collections as well.
