Could this be an error quarter? It has a clean break in it. The side has a gap too. If an error coin, any value?
Hi. You're going about this all wrong. Start in the "Error Coin" Section to first ID whether this a genuine error or not and go from there. Can we see some more Pics please. IF I HAD TO GUESS: Post Mint creation. In someone's basement or garage?
It is not an error coin. It is a machined quarter. It is considered a magic trick coin. It was made that way. The edge would hold a tiny rubber band to keep it held together. The magician would then fold the quarter in order to make it go into the top part of a soda bottle. Here is another And another @Inspector43 @Pickin and Grinin @Collecting Nut @Bill in Burl
Your particular quarter is used by a magician to make it appear that he/she has taken a bite out of the quarter. Find someone who wears braces and get one of those really small rubber bands.
