I just found this penny today and it has a date error it is missing the number 1 and only has 960 as the date it I’d a D mint mark.
It’s an interesting, yet common occurrence. There was a post earlier with a cent that read, “In God We Rust”.... Same deal. Won’t add to your retirement funds. You may find enough interest to buy a good cup of coffee though.

The Die had grease on it in that area. It's common and considered a Mint error of value. Welcome to CT.
If you had used our "Search" function near the top-right of the page, you would find about 200 posts regarding "grease-filled die". If you used Google to look it up, you would find page after page after page about it. Chris
