Error or not 1916 buffalo nickel

    While taking macro photos of my buffalo nickel collection I came upon this coin. It shows similar die clashes as the 1916/16 coin, but the doubling is much fainter. I see leftover 9 in the middle of the repunched 9 and the stem shows. There are definite remnants of a 6 showing. Seems some of the error was removed, but not all of it. Are there varying degrees of the 1916/16 error? I will include a full-size zoom of the date. s-l1600 (3).jpg
