This is a coin I am watching on eBay. It appears that the ‘S’ and ‘O’ in ‘South’ are missing parts of the letters. The general appearance of the coin appears off. In my opinion, it looks like it is very crude and may have been cast.
I am gonna say real. The "S" and thee "O" probably had grease in the die when it was struck. This coin does have a very low mintage of 26,000 but it is only made out of .500 silver and in MS-65 grade is only valued at $18.00 . Wait for more opinions...
