Is this a off center struck through Grease error or is it a Sort of die cap?

Does this coin have any extra value besides a dime??

I would weigh the coin. Could be a thin or underweight planchet error.
Yes it is worth more than a dime. It is a legitimate mint error.

So here is the Next ? do I need to have these errors slabbed and verified to get anything out of them ? And if yes How much does that usually run? I have been running into a crap load of errors lately, But then again I have never searched pennies , Dimes, And Nickles before.
    THANKS JON

I like getting most errors I find graded. Not so much for the profit, but for the learning experience.
Ive sent errors in before that received other error attributions I didnt notice. Or different errors than the one I thought.
Most of the time the suprise isnt a good one though.
Also, not all mint errors will get attributed. Ngc believes that some mint errors are not significant enough for them to attribute.
Collect your errors and then submit your best ones.
Try to send them a nice variety of errors. If you have 10 errors exactly like this one, send just 1 of them along with other error types. And try not to send them more than 5 errors at a time.

Minor error worth only a couple of dollars. Do not waste your money on this for TPG holder. That's all.

That one is definitely more extreme, to the point where part of the design is cut off, which boosts its value. The dime in this thread is nice, but since no part of the design is cut off, I wouldn't expect a large premium for it.

Well considering this type of error sells for $25.00 up to like $400.00 on ebay I may take the nickle.

Nice Logic.. I just sold a car for 34k, I seen another car on ebay sell for over 100k.. man I should of held out..

The OP coin is very minor, lower grade. I would say 5 bucks is a stretch a LONG stretch for that coin.

The nickel looks like a possible struck-thru die cap, which is not a big money error. I would expect $30 max for it, since it isn't in good condition.

Actually I will take them both and put them away for my Grandson to enjoy when he is older. along with the other 20 or so errors I have found There is no money amount that can replace the smile and laugh of a little boy who likes coins that his Pa Pa has.

these minor misaligned die "errors" on circulated coins are worth only a few cents over face, and even then you have to find the right person to buy them...
