Error,DD or dmg? 73 Nickel

    Just wondering what this could be,i found it on a 1973 nickel in the words Five Cents. The txt seems very thick in this area and i couldnt find any info on it. Any opinions are appreciated.
    I uploaded a normal pic of one to compare.

    I see what you're talking about, but I think the lettering there just got smooshed down as a result of wear. There could be some differences in the strike, as well.

    I read that the strikes for this year are known to be very weak,i was thinking it was smashed down due to no other examples. Im still curious tho.

    Could be a minor struck through grease worn die issue.. With circulation wear.. Nothing really major.

    Here is a closer picture,notice the 2 extra tiers below the letters? It oddly mimics doubling

    Looks like a partial struck through grease along with circulation wear and tear.

    As for the cats - LOL :D
