A few days ago gbroke started a thread “pimp your Dansco” where the album pages held 2x2s and he had modified the print on the album spine. For whatever reason, it prompted me to study some of my error coin Dansco albums which were custom printed with “Error Coins” on the spine. I believe that JT Stanton had a bunch of these albums made & I own a couple of them. Does anyone else at CT have one of these "Error Coins" Dansco albums?

Just for fun I’ll post some neat 1-cent errors from this album. This first one has a nice mushroom shape.

This one is folded. Looking at the edge, you can see through the coin at the fold. Both the mushroom cent & folded strike coin came from Len Roosmalen’s CONECA monthly mail bid sales about 20 years ago.

These two chain strike cents are perfectly matched. They were purchased as a pair from Mike Maino at a Milford Connecticut show around 1990.

Here is a Lincoln cent with large cud on the reverse. This was purchased at the Westchester NY show from Bill Afinito.

This 1989-D cent has multiple clips & was struck off center. I believe it was purchased from Arnie Margolis along with several other awesome looking incomplete planchet coins.

This 1992 cent was first struck normally. The normal coin then straddled the gap between two sets of dies in the press & received a saddle strike. There is a significant hump and the saddle strike shows the typical head-to-head orientation of the coining dies. I believe that this coin came from a CONECA monthly mail bid sale.

This last coin was first struck normally as a Lincoln cent & then found its way into the nickel press and was subsequently made into a Jefferson nickel. You can easily see the Lincoln memorial pillars across Jefferson’s face on this 6-cent piece. An old friend in Massachusetts called me one day & I bought this coin from him through the mail.

    Thank you gbroke,
The cents posted only amount to 8 cents or 13 cents in face value :D
Unfortunately, I didn't find any of them roll searching.

If it will fit on the 2x2, I shall change the label to read "Manhattan Project Penny".

Ya Know, coin collecting is one thing, but whoever saves business or proof coins saves identical pieces that every other person collects and whoever has the best quality coins wins. But what Collect89 has here is mostly one of a kind coin and for that he has a unique coin collection, not something that most everyone else has. Nice collection and great going Collect89.

    Post some cents guys

For fun maybe we could continue posting some cents. Here are a few more 1-cent errors from the same album.

This first one is a strike through error. It looks like it was struck through some foreign object.

    Just wow.
Hey Collect, about the Dancos themselves. Do you think those were produced like that from Dansco as a custom thing? Or did someone just do the gold lettering themsleves?
