Hello I am new to coin collecting and was wondering if I could get some guidance. I have a cumberland gap and a wyoming state quarter wondering if these are mint errors or post mint tampering? One looks struck through grease.
Clearer and more in focus pics would be needed for the other coins.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

I don't think it would be possible to get worse photos with the lens cap off.

Put your coin on a table and take pics from directly above (lens parallel to the face of the coin) and FOCUS.

Can't tell, none of the pictures are in focus.

Try again and better describe precisely what you are seeing.

We need an image of the rim, to make sure it's a greaser and not a dryer coin ...

You also need to know what normal is. For example, the horse is by design just an outline and not unusual wear or a mint error.

PS: we call it damage (PMD) not tampering.

the cumberland gap one has the ridges on rim but the band is gone completely, the Wyoming quarter has rim and band as normal. Ill tinker around with this crudy camera then be back when i can get clear pictures thanks

@sj14552 if you can take clearer photos it would help tremendously.
the Cumberland gap looks like post mint damage, both need better photos with some details.

The Wyoming looks like a grease filled die. I assume the seventh and eighth pictures are the obv of the Cumberland Gap (No rev image so can't be positive) and it appears to be PSD. The rim has been ground down.
