It doesn't look like an error to me, just toning or a bad quality camera.
If there's some sort of detail you want us to see on the error, zoom in and point it out in the picture and/or by writing.

    I don't see anything, sorry.

Struck through grease error. Common as errors go, but I've seen some of these go for whacky prices on ebay....not talking more than $15-$20, but hey, not a bad turnaround for $0.25 ;) Neat find.

P.S. Unless I'm mistaken, the rainbow colors are from a scanner.

    Question

how do you know that it is that error. it may not be. I am still trying to get ahold of the mint company that made them.

Not sure what you mean by the mint company that made them. If your talking about the US Mint, the best your likely to get is a cookie cutter type letter. As for how I know......experience. Though for other explainations, it could be a weak strike, or filled die. But the most common is struck through grease.

I am not worried about a letter I just wanna see what they have to say. I have another question. does anybody know if genuine bronze is worth any thing. I know it dosent have anything to do with error but I thouhgt I would ask.

    I bet this is a NH quarter....am I right?
If so...this is one of the most common grease filled die quarters of any....its value is just a little over face.

Just as a piece of advice, Take the feedback they give you here ( especially when more than one gives the same opinion) and follow it. Its not always what we want to hear, and not always right. So you may still want to explore this item to the highest authority possible to get the answer you want. Problem is if you get someone at the mint to actually take the time to answer the questions you have, and if they happen to be qualified to answer them, If you were to get more for the coin than what has already been estimated by one reply, I would be happy for you. Just remember that the folks on this forum respond to your questions with answers they are qualified to give through experiance. And they are here to HELP YOU Kiss

By "letter" I mean that the most your likely to recieve for an answer from the US Mint is a generic letter they print out whenever someone ask a question just like yours. And again, you would only get a letter response if your were extrodinarily lucky. Most likely you will never even get a response. But I do wish you the best of luck.

    Hi,
Try to scan the quarter using the scanner program to magnify the image. You can set it to a percentage 400% for example. It is usually a part of the program.

I don't really see anything on this quarter that would set it apart from many other filled die errors I've seen. The likelihood that grease filled the recesses of the die and that area was affected is very high.
