Error coin 2

    I attached 3 images of an error australian 6d. How to classify this type of error?

    It looks to be a partial collar error-But I could be wrong

    Nice & deep too- cool coin !

    Not quite, but close. This coin was slightly off-center when it was struck. The collar against which it was struck was frozen in the "up" position. This forced up a flange on the face struck by the hammer die and produced a rounded shoulder on the face struck by the anvil die. A coin that is struck off-center but which is forced all the way into the collar by the force of the strike has been termed a "ram strike".

    members, thanks for the help... Is it a common error? I got it for abt $11 after currency conversion... did I overpay?

    "Ram strikes" are not that common, but neither is there much demand for them. I'd say you paid an appropriate price for it.
