Error Cent

    Hi there, first post and what not.
    I was checking my keeper box for small dates today and ran across this. The doubling does not appear elsewhere on the coin, so I was hesitant to call it a DDO. Is anyone familiar with this error?

    Looks like MD to me. Notice that the doubling is flat and shelf like and that it does not appear anywhere else. It is not a doubled die.

    Thanks Rick. I'm going to go read up on that.

    Edit: The first article I read discussed this exact MD. :-/
