Help with this one is greatly appreciated the back of the coin is like glass with a rainbow effect the rim of the coin has two separate colors and has a ridge and the front I'm not sure
The Reverse of the Cent was probably sitting in a thin layer of a chemical which affected the copper surface apperance.. That would be Environmental Damage
Environmental Damage.. I find hundreds like that when I go metal detecting. Dirt, soil and the elements affect the Cent.
I have a few Partial Collar Errors. They are nice but really don't have a huge premium. I will say $2.00 - $4.00 depending how much partial collar is showing.
Here is one that I own with a thread I created https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1c-tilted-partial-collar-birth-year-error.311024/
Just wanted to let you know that the 2014 is actually a planchett error and was advised to have it certified by NGC or PCGS how do I go about doing that
They are correct but it's nothing really major. You would spend a lot of money to join one of those grading companies and then pay the attribution and slabbing fees. The Cent you have is better off in a 2x2 coin flip. You have to understand something. I joined NGC a few years ago. When I submit my Mint Errors and a few other Normal or foreign coins I send about 10 to 14 in one submission. I would not waste time or money just to submit a partial tilted collar strike such as yours. It's nice but not worth the trouble.

I see. Different factors create that look. Polishing, toning, something added. It's still a Copper plated Zinc Cent.
