There seems to be an INORDINATE amount of interest in coins with potential errors by newbies on this site, and being one of the "newbies" I felt left out, until now . . . . .

I know this one is a little off. At what point do these become "collectable?" I am primarily interested in your thoughts and observations, AND what value would this cent would hold on the market?

I truly don't know, and I imagine it varies by type of coin, degree of error, etc. The coloration of this one was tough to photograph. Those washed out areas are reflections from an overhead light. I tried to get a good angle that showed contrast, but this cent is uniformly brown. I didn't realize how artificial it looked until I transferred the photos to my PC. I can get better pictures taken. There is an unfortunate rim nick at 4:00 o'clock on the obverse of this one.

So, error or PMD, and what value?

    I agree Broadstruck.
The older Copper Cents have a better premium.

    $10.00 - $15.00

    In my humble opinion
