I am new to roll searching. I just bought a Lighthouse 20-200x Zoom USB Digital Microscope & Camera + Lighthouse Copy Stand on ebay. It has brought coin collecting to a whole new level. Easy to use and easy to set up. A few months ago I bought a Camry scale. That helps as well.

Does anyone have any other recommendations on useful equipment?

Can anybody recommend a good web site. I would like to see a list of coins I should look be looking for. The list should be complete. But, only list the coins that are may be worth more than $5. I want to collect the main varieties. I do not want to collect every single small difference.

I started a list in a word document. I link to a web site that discusses that variation. This way I can look for those dates and set them aside. Then use the microscope to view the variances. My eyes are not as sharp as they use to be.
    Any suggestions?

I am assuming that you have an idea of the value by year/mint mark coins and are talking more about varieties, especially the major ones. I think a list from the Cherry Pickers Guides would be a good one to follow, and supplemented by the later years on Coppercoins.com. Even some of the CPG listed coins don't bring much interest, so when I made a list of Flying eagles to Lincoln cents, I gave each variety a 'stars' rating. Staying with this group usually means the better TPG will authenticate and grade them.
