I went into a Gold and Silver buyer/coin shop to look around and kill some time between appointments and noticed a Jefferson Coin and Currency set in a case. I asked the proprietor if i could see it and he said sure opened the door and said help yourself. I reached in and got it out only to find the package empty of the coins and $2 bill. He look at me like I had done some kind of magic trick but then said I'll make you a good deal on it and laughed. He had no idea the set was empty and even asked another guy to help me locate it to no avail. I have several of these as well as several of the nickels in graded holders and thought I might pick up another if the price was right oh well I didn't need it I guess. Have any of y'all ever run into anything like this?

My local coin shop has a bumper crop of empty Morgan GSA boxes from the time before the TPGs put their mark on the government holder.

Possibly bought a group of sets and never opened it. It happens.
