Do banks still carry empty half dollar rolls?

Generally most banks don't give out free coin wrappers anymore and you'd be better off buying your own as @DUNK 2 has already stated they are inexpensive.

My bank provides them to me free of charge in small numbers, as they do with 1, 5, 10, 25, small $1 and large $1 as well.

All of my banks have them and don't charge. I don't usually ask for more than 10-20 at a time, though.

Best to just call and ask you're specific bank.

My credit union no longer carries them.

They have those coin counters that they refer to as they think you'll bring the coins in to deposit. They don't charge a fee to use them like some places do.
