I attended the Fall 2009 MSNS (Michigan State Numismatic Society) Show today. It was great to meet stainless, and his brother; Jim M; and covert coins. Attendees recieve this elongated cent: The legend on the cent reads: "A salute to our boy Cliff Mishler ANA President Charter member of MSNS Fall Show 2009" You can win this beauty. Needless to say this is a unique collectors item. You would have to attend the MSNS show to get one of these. We're talking real numisnatic history here folks. OK, how to win. If you respond to this post you will be automatically entered. Please only post once to this thread. Your post number will be your number in the drawing that I will conduct at approximtely 8:00 PM (my time) tomorrow evening. The winner will be posted shortly thereafter. See, told you it would be easy. Let the posting begin! Here's a pic of this unique piece of numismatic history...
I'm entering this post, but I have no desire to win the coin -- please don't enter my name. I worked registration, so I not only had access to several dozen of these coins, but after we ran out, they brought out a bag from "years past." I saw elongated cents in here dating back over 30 years, from various MSNS and ANA events, plus some other weird ones. I decided against taking any of them, but I did nab a current elongated cent made from a coin from the year of my birth. Thanks for the suggestion, Joe!
I would like to throw my hat in the ring as well. Good luck everyone, and thanks to PennyGuy for a shot at this beaut!
I woefully submit that you remove Treashunt from the list of contestants. He already has one of these cents. I know that for a fact. Also when this contest ends I will start another but its NOT going to be this easy so there will be a second chance contest so to speak.. Do NOT enter me here Pennyguy..
