A sixpence I picked up from a collector here on CT. Oh and this is my 4000 post:b8nce::b8nce::b8nce:. Elizabeth I (1558 - 1603 A.D.) Silver Sixpence O: ELIZABETH: D'. G'. ANG: FR: ET: HI: REGINA, crowned bust left, rose behind. R: POSVI DEV' ADIVTORE M. MEV' (I have made God my helper), quartered coat-of-arms (passant lions and fleurs-de-lis) on long cross fourchée,1571 above shield. Tower mint with castle mintmark. 2.9g 27mm S2562
IMHO any EI coin with a visible profile is a winner. You see so many that have full legends but no nose. I bought one over 20 years ago and have loaned it out twice to brides wanting a 'sixpence in her shoe.' They are so thin that they are comfortable (I'm told). My wife used an EII 6d.
It was sold on the CT For Sale area. 30 seconds of searching and I found it here. http://www.cointalk.com/t226821/ That was Windchild's point...
Exactly. I see too many more worn then this and I just ignore them, but this had at least some recognizable profile. It has a section of waviness but I can live with it. Great coin AN.
