Elagabalus AR Denarius. Rome, AD 219. 2.3g, 18mm OBV: IMP ANTONINVS AVG, Laureate draped bust right. REV: FIDES MILITVM, Fides standing front, head right, holding standard & vexillum. REF: RIC 73, RSC 41, BMC 133 I was feeling really down and not motivated to do anything until I decided to order some coins. I just received two coins yesterday. I realize I haven't been posting much lately, part of my lack of motivation. lol Unfortunately, I am back to using my scanner for coin photos. I really did enjoy taking real photos of my coins while it lasted.
cool denarius GG....glad to see you back! new coins seem to be a great way to treat the "blahs"....buy to coins and call me in the morning.
You know me, the ugly but rare ones only someone like me could love lol. Some highlights: Expanded my Ostro collection (got a Baduila), got another Frankish denier, I found a Johannes in a lot. Its been going pretty good right now, not to brag.
Nice to see some new additions from ya. Ive had days where I have little motivation, often actually but when I do, thats when I share new stuff, sometimes when ive had on a new purchase for months. My only Elagabalus coinage.
Thanks, I kinda wanna upgrade my Ant. of him but I dont wanna spent $50+ on one when I only paid $15 for the one you see posted. It was one of those listed wrongs, bought at opening bid deals .
Hi Gil-galad ... always nice to see your smiling coins!! (I hope that our coin-camaraderie will cheer you up a bit?) Ummm, I'm gonna toss-in a couple of Big-E's (a Tet and a denarius)
