I have a seller selling 50 Eisenhower Dollars (ranges from 1973-1976) for $1.25 each. Good deal? Also, another seller is selling 28 Eisenhower and 4 SBA dollars for best offer given (supposedly all in AU-BU condition). What should I bid? No dates given.
my uncle just took in 150.00 worth of them last week. they arent impossible to come by. unless they are brilliant uncirculated i wouldnt be interested.
i thought they were all in the "big sky hoard" lol if i come across any again ill pm ya or ill post them in the trade section
We'll all run to Waterloo, IA and scarf up the 150. Reality check cciesielski01, not many banks have Ikes available unless someone brings them in to exchange for greenbacks, and that doesn't happen as often as many people think. To the OP: $1.25 is a good deal as these are selling in B&Ms, in 100 Ike increments for $125-$135, so if you're getting them at $.25 over face that's not bad.
It is impossible to judge what their value is without seeing them. There could be a couple of varieties there that are worth some money. Generally, low level circulated or barely circulated Ikes aren't worth that much. Impossible to judge sight unseen.
In my opinion, it's good deal for 1971-1972, but not 1973-1978. Most of IKEs from 1973 to 1978 are in bad condition and worthless to find in any variety, but you can get plenty variety from 1971 to 1972 included FEV, King of IKE, clashes, etc. If you want to get a nice coins from 1973-1978, then I would recommend you to try search for mint sets. You can find them for $6-$10 per mint set from eBay. They are quarantee BU condition to possible MS 64-66. Good luck.
Not too bad. I see them at the show for $1.15 each but they don't have them every time. I have never seen one at a bank - ever. Where the heck they all went is beyond me.
IMO, $1.25 for ANY 1973 IKE is a good deal since they were only available in mint sets with a little over 2,000,000 made of which 400,000 were melted.
True, but only if it's in good condition. Mint set is best bet for BU quality. As of now, IKE group showed that 1973 P and D has no variety, but possible clash can be found. You can see why I would avoid 1973 in IKEs lot from eBay or bank.
Yes it is a good deal for 1973-1976 for a dollar & 25 c If all ikes is Uncirculated..But if you buy it Circulated it is ok too for a souvenir.By the way how much the shipping and handling coast? Hope is not Ten Bucks a sinlge order of 2 P & D Mintmark..
Yes, I am familiar with that article. However, look at their price guide and it wasn't listed. The reason why it wasn't listed due to rarity and less desirable by collectors. I have notice from reading different threads in this forum. People tend not pursuing RPM unless it's sufficient numbers of RPM exists. 1973 D RPM is considerable rare, but not desirable. Also, it's very rare for RPM to fetch a premium value.
