Egyptian coins are dated in the AH (After Hejira) Muslim religious calendar, dating from Mohammed's flight from Mecca. There is a full page chart in all the Krause catalogs spanning AH1010-1450, which is July 2, 1601-May 25, 2028 on the AD Christian religious calendar aka CE (Common Era) calendar, widely used in most of the non-Muslim world. Because the AH calendar is based on a lunar day of 354 days there is constant slippage between the equivalent AH/CE dates. The current years (AH1427-CE2006) are about as close to synchronization as it gets. AH1427 began on January 31, 2006, and will end on January 19, 2007. If you want to post a specific Egyptian date, anyone with a Krause catalog can give you the equivalency information.
