EGYPT. Ptolemy IV Philopator. 222-205/4 BC. Æ 40 ?

    Guys I received this coin in the mail today, I am unsure if the description is correct. And it seems my camera has better eyes than me because I can hardly see it so the pictures look much better when I look at them on the computer screen after uploading them here

    I will have to get diameter when I get home to measure also have to find one of my reloading scales for weight it is fairly hefty

    Measurement at 30mm fairly decent size

    There seems to be a cornucopia to left of the eagle, which would be Alexandria Series 5 'SIGMA' Control Types with Cornucopia Mintmark, but I can't identify the monogram above the thunderbolt between the eagle's legs.

    Since you have the coin in hand, you could perhaps identify the monogram and search the coin at http://ptolemybronze.com/ptolemy_series.html

    To me it looks like the letter A. I will take better photos to upload. Thank you for showing me this website for research
