    Hello,

I do have some British coins in my collection, not many, just a few which I find historically interesting. Here is a shilling struck under the short reign of Edward VI, son of Jane Seymour and Henry VIII.

As I do not have a british coin catalogue, I would greatly appreciate any additional information on this particular issue anybody may provide.

    Thanks and regards,

    Eduard

this is widely accepted to be the first british shilling and it is easily the hardest one to find to complete a full shilling set,

Thank you very much swish513, just the kind of information I was looking for.

Moneyer, I glad you like this coin. I also have the shilling with the young king's portrait facing 3/4 forward. This one was (far) more difficult to find.
