Earlier this month I was looking on the bay for another world coin collection that's a good deal and I came across this listing. Awful photos, it was a BIN or best offer +shipping and I sent an offer of less than half it was listed for. They countered for a dollar more and I accepted. Around $20 total I purchased this listing because I saw three of what I recognized to be the 10% silver one peso coins as well as another decent sized silver coin. Well they arrived today in a beat up box. The coins were just in the box with a newspaper, not even in a bag or anything! And it smelled like smoke! I'm still happy with them though, after a quick search I found the 3 Mexican silver coins, an Italian 500 lire (silver), and three small British silver coins, 1859 sixpence, 1883 threepence, and 1908 threepence. Also, x9 British pound coins and a dollars worth of Canadian quarters! Probably some other still usable coins in there too. I'm happy with this purchase as well, it's a fun little treasure hunt. I probably won't purchase any more eBay lots anytime soon though, as I just picked up a large foreign/token collection.
I'm guessing it's a base metal inexpensive token that would be sold at gift shops. Below is a link to something similar on eBay and I see more examples on etsy. https://www.ebay.com/itm/373816401066
I think you did well on that purchase. I usually buy world coin lots for the educational value, but do find some good ones among them, like you did.
