I buy other things besides coins on ebay and I often see, or think I see something suspect coming into fruition. Usually I see it with an American seller of coins on ebay but this time I came across this new seller who has different items for sale. The jade is what brought up my suspicions. Now it very well could be that the seller is totally legit but to come straight out of the bullpen and the way things are priced makes me suspicious. What about you, have you seen any American sellers get influenced into supporting and selling for the enemy, (Chinese fakes)? Someone brought one up around a year ago and she was selling copies from China of Lincoln cents, wish I had the link to it. Sure, my seller isn't selling coins yet but I'm sure it's only because they just don't know yet. Since most of the items are used (and listed as such), I only see someone cleaning out their closet and jewelry box, hoping to get a few bucks for their items on eBay. As far as your concerns about "supporting and selling for the enemy"... well, unfortunately, that's a sign of the times. It's becoming increasingly difficult to buy something that's not made in China.
I got there too late to see the jade, but the rings ( mostly synthetic or artificially enhanced ( heating, radiation, etc) are somewhat higher than most similar on ebay. Most of QVC and others jewelry is not made in China, but Malaysia,Thailand, India, etc.
No doubt. I guess if the OP were really curious, he could follow up on this cemetery plot the seller has listed in TN with references. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cemetery-Pl...aultDomain_0&hash=item3cc2391309#ht_500wt_922
There is no evidence this seller is one but fyi that are plenty of middle men in USA that piddle counterfeits coins from china, in fact Chinese manufacturers specifically state these coins/slabs are copies or replicas and sell for example something like Morgans for $5 bucks
