Ebay sellers that are honest and upstanding!

I have found a few in my dealings what about you? A few that come to mind....

I'd recommend Coinmaster1955 and I've always got pretty nice coins from vette1986, never a problem with either one.

 

The best one I've dealt with so far was: rtebeest

Really nice guy. Made a 4 coin deal with him. One of them was off ebay after it ended. Loved the coins I got, happy with the deal and check back with him once in a while because I would do business with again for sure.

Next: gregdrake While completing my Franklin halves sets, I purchased around 40 from him to help complete. Some of them are on the high side but I did get nice BU coins from rolls, from him. It was one stop shopping. Did not worry about what I'd be getting the second go around. Would buy from again.

I am still in the early stages but have dealt with around 20 or 30. Most have been excellent with the exception of one rotten apple that I listed in another thread.

 

It just goes to show you that there is many upstanding EBay sellers. Please lets get this list a little larger so folks know who the good guys are out there.

 

I am glad you all have had good experiences with the dealers listed, but I do have some issues with a couple of dealers listed(nothing major). One of the reason this type thread gets risky - some will like and some will dislike the same seller. Should be interesting on what is said.

 

vette1986 must have improved some lately. He was one I was always leary of back a couple years ago when I was buying a lot of seated dimes. I can't remember exactly why, but his feedback was less than flattering.

Wombat1878 is one I have bought from a few times. He is not a huge powerseller but usually has decent coins and pics. His shipping is a bit high, but I try and factor it in my bid.

 

I agree, I've bought coins a few times from Wombat1878 and always recieved exceptional service and pretty nice coins. tjscoins is another seller that I would recommend.

 

I buy so little on Ebay these days, I cannot really ad to this thread, except to say thanks for the vote of confidance Tom, I appreciate it.

I have bought from several cointalkers on the bay, and as expected, had good luck with all of them, and I know others to avoid.

The good ones include ( I hope I do not forget anybody )

He helped add a few '75 and '76 three cent nickels to my collection. For a while he had some about every week.

 

Hocey is another Ebay seller that I like and keep going back to. He has very nice coins and fast shipping.

 

I know I'll continue to buy from him. I believe that once you're lucky enough to find an honest Ebay seller like Wombat1878 you better stick with them.

 

I have excellent experience with almost all e-bay sellers I've ever done business with. Only one bad experience out of hundreds - that one was overseas.

I just watch out for all those well-known red flags and avoid those ! The rest seem pretty hip.

 

Here is a seller I sniped on an auction for some Irish notes, I was stunned that my lowball bid actually won. I got the notes for about 1/4 of their catalogue value. Seller wrote me write away, congratulated me on the great buy, and communicated through the whole shipping process with tracking numbers and a followup email to make sure I liked the item. They also left feedback immediately on receipt of payment. And even these days, they still have a stellar feedback record:

Since nowadays I darkside into USA stuff, I keep them in mind.

I don't think you can ask for much more variety than what they have in their inventory for supplies and miscellaneous. Prices here are much better than I expected and I have never had a problem with the gentlemen when there was a mistake or missing item in my order.

These are only three of the many sellers of whom I have had excellent transactions. I am not trying to slight anyone else with whom I have transacted business who are equally as trustworthy.

More than just having a good seller to count on, one needs to remember that as a customer you should be honest, patient and understanding about transactions. Having good not-threatening communication skills is every bit as important. If you are honest and understanding with the seller then most likely they will return the courtesy.

I almost forgot about this one, vtcoins online and ebay. Great coins great prices and a friend to cointalk. I got my best three cent nickel from him.

Know what's odd about Jack's original list. We've basically ALL done business with one another. Straight forward, no BS deals. If you don't like it send it back. No problem.

I rarelly sell or buy on ebay these days. Come "ya gotta take Paypal days" and I'm gone. Amazon was once a good place for me to sell. They instituted "you have to take their payments policies". I never sold there again.

There are other avenues and I shall use them. Don't sell all that much anyway but retain my integrity. Being forced into more fees is a darn shame.
