Here is a situation which I bet has happened to many of you. You make a purchase, pay with PayPal, and begin the wait. You've paid for 'Priority' shipping so you've got an idea of when your coin will arrive. On the 5th day you begin to wonder but not worry too much. Then the e-mail arrives, (Your package will be shipped by PayPal Shipping with U.S. Postal Service(R) for XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX INDIAN HEAD CENT F/VF K17!)

The guy has just now mailed your package, so much for Priority Mailing :( This just torques me off everytime it happens... I trade (buy and sell) on Ebay and have done so for over nine years. When I sell something and advertise Priority I get that baby off ASAP after payment and if delayed let the buyer know why.

I have had for the most part no problems, but once i had a seller email after 3 days, that he was out of his State and would mail as soon as he got back. He stayed in constant contact with me so in the end I gave positive feedback. But my question to him was why would you put an ending time on the Auction when you knew you were on a bussiness trip out of town? The only other was when I shipped out a package Priority Mail and it took over 9 days to get there! The USPS told me that the 2-3 days is not a etched in stone.

Yea, I love the sellers that forget to mention that they only ship 1 day a week no matter when you win the auction. Never seems to appear on their listing. I had one seller state in his auction that he only ships by DHL but when the mailman delivered my priority package I was a little surprized.

    I can't stand that also.

And especially the 99 cent coin auctions with 18.00 shipping. When I sell I sometimes lose a few cents rather than gouge buyers. Nothing makes me look at the next item quicker than outrageous or unlisted shipping charges.

Some people obviously have a different concept of "priority". ;)

Me, I'm just happy if the item gets here at all, and it's close to what the description said. :D

In other areas (non-coins) a lot of items sell for 99 cents with high shipping. If a seller has a 99 cent auction with $18 shipping, he will make more than if he has a $15 auction with 3.99 shipping. It is just a way to lower the ebay selling fees.

These type of auctions are in violation of eBay's rules and should be reported to them! If a Seller doesn't want to pay the fees, then they shouldn't sell on eBay!

Of course there is also the opinion that if the shipping and handling fees are clearly stated and the buyer believes they are too high simply don't bid on the item.

Well, it came in the mail today and is safely popped into the old Whitman Tri-Folder. Only four more to go and she'll be complete.

I just bought a coin not too long ago....it was a private listing but I was pretty sure I wouldn't get ripped...
Well I'm one of the winners and I get an email telling me where to send the money but the address isn't complete...so I write them and don't hear for over a week....and then learn that they have reported me to ebay for non payment...needless to say I was pretty mad and told them what I thought...but said that if they would send me their address I would keep my word.
they did and I got my money to them...then from the day they wrote me and said that they got my money from the day they wrote and said that they mailed it was 8 days.
I got it today and left them feedback....don't worry ;) I was nice!!

I Never Have, And I Never Will Buy A Coin From E-bay. I Know A Lot Of You Do, And Have Had Good Luck Buying Coins On E-bay. But For Me If I Don't Know You Or Can't See The Coin, Then It Is Not Going To Happen
