About a year or two ago, there was a Ebay search refinement where you could search auction with a minimum of 2 bids. It was a nice search to find true auctions, where people are bidding on coins. I can not find it as a refinement any more, however I saved a search. I can modify the minimum bid search to look for anything. If this make no sense to you, I apologize, I have found this difficult to express. here is the link, you can use at will. http://www.ebay.com/sch/Coins-US-/2...HX:SRCH|STRK:MEFSRCHX:SRCH&LH_NOB=1&_nkw=pcgs
I wish they had a year refinement. Like if I wanted to look for coins dated 1865 to 1873. Used to be able to use an asterisk for wild card, but they removed that with the "new and improved" search.
You only have 9 years to type in. That is a pain, but doable. I used to divide Lincoln into 2 groups. That was only 3 words when asterisks worked. Now it is 30 years to input - and they limit their searches to 100 characters. Do the math.
I search for things like Greek coins from the 1800s. I don't have a list of the years or anything, and there are a lot of them. In the past I could type "18*." Now it's basically impossible. This is the worst change by far that they made.
The only thing I have managed is to make saved searches with about 20 years per line. Making them was a pain, but they are not too bad now. You would have to make 5, I believe. I do not think you could get away with 4, but they have eased that 100 character requirement.
