I have a question for some of the Ebay regulars on this forum...

Do sellers somehow artificially boost their feedback scores?

It seems that every seller I see has at least 97% positive feedback, even if they appear to me to be selling junk. Are they inflating this somehow?

Even that guy aboncom has over 99% positive feedback.

Lots of people are scared of retaliatory negs--but--more people just can't tell junk when they see it. :)

Yes, there is a degree of "artificial" feedback and as DJ pointed out the fear of "retaliatory" feedback.

As for Abon the feedback is 99% because 99% of his buyers are clueless when it comes to coins.

Anybody who buys from Abon is 99% stoopider than the rest of us

Ebay claims that 80% of neg feedback comes from 3% of sellers
