eBay doctor?

It's really difficult for me to believe the condition of these two proof Franklin halves, put up by the same seller:

I keep hoping that I am the only one that has any of those box sets left. guess not.

I opened one about a year ago, the silver is white. nothing like that franklin.

 

Based on recent feedback; they're probably not as great as he describes...
