Can you believe this sold for $224.48 Am I mistaken or is this what is referred to as pounding? Taking a nickel in this case placing it between two dimes wrapping it in leather and pounding it or placing it in a vice. I hope for the lucky winner it's not so! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=8356807911&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
Heck, the guy even says "...but I don't think it was created at the mint this way." That's right, it was created in somebody's workshop in the basement. Duh! I can't imagine buying something like that off of e-bay.
I think he started his discription with a typo "Look at the scans" should have been "Look at the scams". N and M side by side on the keyboard could have been a slip of the finger!
I really have a hard time wasting sympathy on people who bid around a plainly-stated disclaimer. They're getting what they're paying for - an education - and we all know education isn't cheap.
I agree with the education part, but I do feel sorry for the guy and I'm glad my education on some coin scams was alot cheaper although any amount for this type of education is painfully too much!
