    hi All,

    the obv legend looks a bit "sloppy" but is it eastern?

    Obv. IMP CAESAR TRAIAN H-ADRIANVS AVG
    laureate and cuirassed bust right, slight drapery on left shoulder

    Rev. P M TR P - COS III
    Genius standing left, holding patera and corn-ears, altar at his feet.

    The legend on 1e looks rather strange for sure.

    Probably an apprentice engraver did the lettering.

    It looks just thin fine lettering to me.

    for me its still very hard to detect eastern

    I'm with you OKI, but I suspect JA is probably right. The 'general' style suggest western to me but the poor lettering something else

    Otherwise, I'm as mystified as you.
