    **** all,

i was just wondering why the early wheats in BU/ms condition from like the 10's to almost the end of the 30's cost more than wheats from the 40's and 50's. and i know the 09's are just jeys so those are obvious but the others aren't so why are the others?

I'd guess because in most cases the mintages from 1910-1930s were lower, and age itself often commands a premium. And less may be available in those higher grades.

Simply put the survival rate of the early cents was much lower than those of the later ones. You don't see BU rolls of say 1910 Lincolns, but BU rolls of cents from the 40's and 50's are easy to come by. So you could say that for each BU 1910 cent there are probably 100's of BU 1950 cents. Naturally the 1910 is going to be more expensive the 1950.
