    Hi,

I am new to coin collecting and I have a question concerning a Morgan dollar. I have a 1897 Morgan dollar from the San Francisco mint. This is the only Morgan dollar I own (the first one I purchased). My question is about the eagle's eye. Basically, if you look at my coin very closely under 10X magnification (sorry I don't have a pic), you will see that the eagle has a very small dot in the center of the eye where the pupil should be. However, if you view some pictures Morgan dollars for sale on the web, it looks like there is no pupil. So, my question is:

Does the eagle's eye on the Morgan dollar have a pupil or not?
