I recently purchased a whole box of these Penny Wise publications at a flea market. Is this what collectors commonly refer to as EAC Journals? The date range is from 1991-1993.I dont collect early copper, but i WILL buy old interesting coin related books that i stumble upon. Is there any value here to a large cent collector? Or did i just buy a whole box of fire starter?? As an aside there was also a few auction mailing lists, an empty Barber Half Coin-master album & a 1972 A.N.A photo grade.
I would think they would make great reference material, as well as decent reading for the Throne Room.
Since they became available first on CD-ROMs, and now scanned on the Newman Numismatic Portal, demand for the printed copies has dropped tremendously. At one time I had nearly a complete set of the printed version. It is still an exceptional publication.
Some people like reading dead trees and the illustrations will be sharper. But yeah you're not going to make a pile selling them and retire to that condominium in Nice.
