    Several things.
    1. Include ICG and NCS as eBay approved TPGs.
    2. The MS66 IS an eBay rules violation but if you report it the people who evaluate your report probably won't know that and won't do anything.
    3. But the MAJOR issue is that when you see PNCG close that window and go to the next coin. To the best of my knowledge PNCG is not recognized as a reputable TPG.

    Sorry, but he has done absolutely NOTHING wrong; See http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/currstamps.html

    1. Yes, ICG and NCS are also included.
    2. MS66 is allowed anywhere except the title;
    3. You make take a picture of anything (I am sure there are limits here, but not either the grade or TPG). There is no mention of "picture" in their rules;

    Yep, I erred on #2.
    You CAN have a numeric grade in the description.
    What you CAN'T do is include a text reference to a non-approved TPG.
    I got caught on that once (I think I mentioned SEGS).

    As for #3 I made no mention (+ or -) about the pictures.
    All I said was that to the best of my knowledge PNCG is not a reputable TPG.

    What's this about?
    "Note: Coins minted before 1980 must show the full front and back of the holder. Coins minted in 1980 or after must show the full front of the holder."

    Just my opinion

    The photos in the Ebay listing make the coin look MS63.5 to me. That is far from the MS66 grade on the holder.

    He has 2 of the obverse and 2 of the reverse. How many do you think are required? Also, the regulation you quoted is for certified coins. This one does not fall into that category.

    Right, sorry..This coin was just for the original question. Just wondering in general what the quote was there to accomplish.

    You cannot grade a coin without seeing both side of a coin. The obverse could easily be MS70, but the reverse corroded. Thus eBay agreed that both sides should be shown. I personally think this rule should apply to all coins instead of just the certified coins.

    That makes sense, I think I was just puzzled by the pre/post 80 deal. Thanks again rlm.

    I agree. "Both sides must be shown" is a good rule, especially for raw coins.

    ebay requires a photo of the reverse holder, not because it's important for grading, but because they want to validate the TPG's holder. Again, I think the rule ought to emphasize the coin's reverse and not the holder's.
