E-bay sent me a survey, asking about a certain seller, a 3 question survey. The first question was if I would recommend this seller on a 1 to 10 answered 4, after I went and got the coin out it was beautiful. advertised as very nice but it was nicer than most slabbed ms62 -64. The second question was why I choose this score. I stated that the coin was great but my dad told me if it looks to good to be true it probably is. But I really hope it is real. First I wrote a more harsh review. But the last question was can they share my statement to the seller and give the seller my e-mail address. First I Xed out and thought about it and thought about it. I decided if I'm going to complain about copies I better do my part, and if e-bay is asking I'm going to speak up. I gave permission to contact me. I did ask them to let me know if it's a copy or not. Most of his other items were new Morgan's. At least E-bay is checking, at least I think that's why. they were doing the survey.It was only about $20. I had already left possitive feedback. Anybody else had a similar experience? It does not stick to a magnet and weighs the same as other morgans are there any other test's I can do. I had to use a10x loupe to see any scratches but they went the other way than the picture. I didn't even question it till I got the survey, It looks to me as one of the best coins I've got off e-bay slabed or not. But this Copy situation does concern me.
EBay sent me the same survey and I gave the seller top marks. First, they shipped the coin within hours of the auction close and it arrived at my house two days later. Second, it was in an unblemished PCGS holder. I hate it when I get certified coins that look like they were dragged backwards through a hedge. Third, the price was fair. I am all about praise if it's deserved.
