Anyone hear or see this story? I caught an announcement on television about E-bay being sued for letting fradulent or fake items be sold on their site. I missed hearing what,why and wherefore and who of the story! Now I cannot seem to find it on any business news sites! Kinda hope it's true, way too much garbage being pushed there! I don't think they are doing much policing of their own site either;I'll relate a story later about that.
O.K. so the blurb I heard today was about another big company(didn't find out who) joining the ongoing lawsuit about trademark abuse,etc. that is going on because ebay doesn't police their site effectively. This lawsuit has been going on for some years already,sound like maybe some more big outfits are lining up against ebay--that's what it will take. I have been occasoinally reporting auctions that were breaking the rules, and have found that ebay apparently gets on them but never has really let me know the outcome. Don't know if any of you noticed here a few weeks back;some porn site had hacked in (or maybe even legitimately put their junk on ebay!) Even after I notified them;probably along with a few thousand other people, it too them another day to get it off!
Dont mention Ebay to me, I have spent 5 days trying to report a violation of there rules and basicly the last reply I had states they are not responsible for anything LOL even though one of there rule's (Which I forewarded to them) states that a seller must charge the exact amount for insurance (UK Rules) and not add anything to it :headbang::headbang:
