Will be among the last acquisitions I will be making in this venue of collecting as I decided to do philanthropic works instead of actively collecting recently. This was purchased at auction recently and arrived this last week when I got home from Ukraine... I just got my PC up and running after a nearly month long hiatus, it came back from the dead after a lot of work and I am playing catch up with images. Soon I will have images of the Bank of the Philippine Islands type set from 1928 that was also acquired, and some more Netherlands and Hong Kong notes that will round out my last acquisitions.
scottishmoney, another beautifully vignette as always. I'm saddened to read that you will be moving on to other pursuits. I have enjoyed your posts very much and learned from them as well. Lou
Mr.P What a beautiful vignette! As with Lou, I am sorry to hear this information as well. However, I am sure that what ever direction you may take, it will be with heartfelt passion and excellence! I wish you the best of luck in your new prusuits and hope you remain in touch with this fourm! Regards, RickieB
Ach, don't be sad for me. Be happy, something a lot more important and needing a lot more attention just happened to come my way. I will always have a soft spot for numismatics, and will retain a select few sentimental pieces like the coins that have been in my family for over a hundred years and a few really special pieces. I just see a lot of good can happen with the proceeds from the sales of some particular pieces that I have egregious sums of dosh tied up into. Particularly the USA coins that I blew more money on this year than I have in all other years combined. Traveling back to my second homeland in E. Europe changes much in me, but only for the better I think.
