Dropped Mint Mark

    I found this one in a roll I searched today. With the loupe it appears to be a D pressed along the rim to the east of Lincoln but with the USB Microscope I can see an S from one angle and a D from another angle.

    Here is another I found recently.

    if you look close at the S in pluribus at the tip you'll see what appears to be a D and from another angle it looks like a curly fry..:cool:

    The rim shows damage(s) the S and the other letters show the effects of coins as they are struck by worn dies.
