Saw my first 20 cent piece today. 1877-S (if i remember correctly, may have been 76) that they're asking 200 for. That coin tops my list of "wants" for my collection. I'm attempting to complete a denominatoin type set minus gold. Only missing 3 cent silver (counting nickel and silver seperate even though they are both 3 cents) , half cent, and 20 cent piece. Working on getting the half cent but saw that twenty today and felt sad. lol. I was just wondering what some of y'all's first dream coin was. Back before you really had a budget for coins.
    Thanks,
    Tyler

What condition was the 20 cent in? $200 could be a good price...

My dream coin is J-72, P-75:

Never graded a 20 before so idk if they're known for weak strikes or not. LIBERTY was visible. Wear on the head and some on the reverse (minimal). I'd guess XF-40/45 but I'm just guessing. It may be a good price but I cant afford it at the moment. Trying to fix my truck (got ran off the road by an idiot who crossed the yellow line) right now. In college so its out of my budget anyways lol. Don't think I could justify $200 with the parents. :p

I'm sorry, I must have read your original post wrong. You said that the coin was either an 1877-S or an 1876-S, but that is impossible because S minted coins were only struck in 1875. Anyway, the 1875-S coin is worth about $175.

Then it must be a '75 lol. Couldn't remember to save my life. Opening a Redbook would've solved that pretty quick I imagine.

My dream coin is a 2.50 gold indian/$5 gold indian. I also want a 1921 peace dollar. But I tend to drift onto other aspects of coins like upgrading coins I got in low grade as a kid or dabble in ancients and so on.

As a kid though my dream coin was a .20c piece. I eventually got one late last year problem free and in a decent grade. It isnt worn like most are. Its one of my favorites.

I wouldn't mind a 1916/16 Buffalo. I'll never even see one, much less own one.

1877 Half union..... Okay, I'll be halfway realistic. A 1907 high relief double eagle would probably be mine.
